Dear Friends of Honesdale Golf Club,
Happy New Year from myself and the Board of Directors of Honesdale Golf Club. We have some great events upcoming in the next few weeks and we hope you will join us and support your club during these cold winter months.
We would like to start off by apologizing to everyone for the delay in your 2018 Membership invoices. We have had better days with our computers and struggled to get our invoices out in December. We found it was from our poorly functioning outdated computer programs. With that said in December of 2017, the board authorized an upgrade to our technology platforms with the objectives of addressing all the miss match computer systems and replacing some no longer supported programs with more labor efficient programs.
Our new technology plan at Honesdale Golf Club will include a new Membership Management Software, hardware, network infrastructure, phone system, website, and more!
First, we are partnering with Chronogolf with a new Membership Management System. Our new system will allow for members to view, pay invoices, add monies to your account, and book future tee times all online on our new website. The new system has an APP for both iOS and Android devices. For our management teams, this will be a great way for us to now have the pro shop and restaurant computer systems all talking together. We will be able to take all major credit cards both upstairs and downstairs as well in our new point of sale systems.
Second, we are very excited to announce the installation of a new network infrastructure and computer system. Under the direction of board member Scott D. Miller, will be setting up a Cisco Meraki network for us. The new computer, network, and phone system will not only save us money it will give us the opportunity that we were unable to do in the past. As a member you will have access to the new wireless network infrastructure so you can connect your mobile devices while at the clubhouse. We will also have a Wireless Guest Network available to non-members as well.
One goal in mind will be to support future business meetings in our dining room area that will support business clients for Wireless Internet service. We are also excited to see the installation of a new Cisco phone system that will offer us a business phone system with phone extensions, voicemail, the ability to transfer calls, and more.
Third, as you will notice, we are working to provide better communications to you as a valued member, as well as potential future members. We have implemented a new e-mail system to send you HGC news! We also have partnered with SDM Technology Services Company to build and maintain a new website, calendar, social media and a text message system for us. We encourage you to visit our new website at https://www.honesdalegolfclub.com, which is our new domain name, but our old website will continue to forward our website visitors to our new website.
Lastly, with all this great news, we hope you will continue to stop by the club for dinner and a cocktail. We are open during the Winter Months: Tuesday 11AM - 7PM, Thursday 4PM - 7PM, and Friday 11AM - 8PM.
